Respecting the Cabo Verde government request:

They have asked that the term “Cape Verde” should no longer be used, this site therefore moved to a new site which is currently under construction. Quote: “In 2013, the country’s delegation to the U.N. informed it that other countries should no longer use Cape Verde or any other translations of Cabo Verde as part of its official name. The Government requested that all nations should use Republic of Cabo Verde as the country’s official name. They determined that it would thenceforth use the Portuguese name Cabo Verde. This is both for official purposes, including at the United Nations, even when speaking or writing in English”.
